General information

Incoming exchange students may apply for accommodation at the Bernese Student Lodging Association. If there are no rooms available there are other options for long-term or short-term accommodation in Berne.

Long-term accommodation

The UMS Service (Untermietservice) offers furnished rooms or appartments of people who wish to let their accommodation for a limited time period. The Website www.wgzimmer.ch shows private accommodation offers in shared apartments.

Short-term accommodation

For a short term stay of several days up to a few weeks there are three relatively low priced hostels in Berne

• Backpackers Bern Hotel Glocke
• Landhaus Bern
• Berne Youth Hostel

Another possiblity for a short term accommodation is to become a member of Couchsurfing and spend a few days at the private home of people in Berne.
