The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) supports a joint research project of the PHBern and the PH Zurich on the quality of pedagogical interactions in secondary school classrooms (INTAKT). Successful pedagogical interactions are important for students' development and teachers' health. The INTAKT study takes up established quality teaching characteristics (classroom management, student orientation, cognitive activity) and examines them consistently from an interactionist perspective (organization, climate, knowledge construction). In the process, the actors' behavior and experience are recorded in 100 secondary school classes using observation and interviews. The study contributes to a better understanding of classroom pedagogical interactions and their promotion.
