Sobald wir genügend Anmeldungen haben, werden wir uns mit einer Terminumfrage melden, um ein Kursdatum zu finden, welches möglichst für alle Interessierten passt.

We will experiment with drama techniques such as hot-seating, alley of consciousness, and role-on-the-wall to better understand plot, characters, and what motivates them.
We will explore various drama conventions and techniques and consider how to implement them in face-to-face and in virtual contexts in the high-school English classroom.
We will work with several texts, including the one-act plays Disgraced and The Dumb Waiter, as well as one of Shakespeare’s works.

• Hands-on work with drama conventions
• Testing of detailed lesson plans for several plays
• Discussion and reflection on the challenges and potential of implementing drama in the English classroom
• Discussion of and experimentation with drama techniques in other works

Bemerkungen

• This course is primarily for English teachers, but all other language teachers are welcome (texts and course are in English)
