The project «Digitalization Meets Inclusion – Inspiration from China for Swiss Schools» by PHBern, research programme Inclusive Education, is supported by Movetia and examines how digital technologies can contribute to promoting inclusion in everyday school life. The Chinese education system is characterized by large, heterogeneous classes and high investment in digital education, thus offering a special context for the development of digital, inclusive approaches. In the project, teachers and school administrators from lower secondary schools in the canton of Bern are connecting with Chinese school teams and experts to analyze and reflect on these approaches and examine their implementation in the Swiss school context. The core of the project consists of school visits, classroom observations, and expert discussions. In April 2026, a Swiss delegation will travel to Wenzhou-Kean University, and in August 2026, the Chinese delegation will visit the participating schools and PHBern. The project strengthens the digital skills of those involved, connects schools, and promotes inclusive school and teaching practices.
